2007 Annual Street Picnic

With bright sun and two full-color "bouncey houses," the Forest Annual Neighborhood Picnic on October 13, 2007 was a great success! Neighbors who have lived in the forest for decades met new neighbors. Everyone brought a cornicopia of foods - hot dogs, vegee skewers, brownies, lasagna, family-recipe beans and even cheese-its. Featured events included the renowned "cake walk," with donations for the Local chapter of the Alzheimers association topping last year. Ace Hardware staff had great fun setting up promotions for their mini-grills and handing out grilled chicken and sausage. The local e-911 ambulance arrived just in time to fix many broken arms and legs our neighborhood stuffed animals. Neighborhood dogs and cats even enjoyed the feast.
